Super trawler 20th August
The company bringing the world's second-largest trawler to
Australia is offering to restrict its operations, in a bid to ease
concerns about depletion of local fish stocks.
Seafish Tasmania director Gerry Geen said his company was discussing a
"move-on provision" that would mean the trawler FV Margiris would take a
certain amount of fish and then move to an area at least 100 nautical
miles away.
